Each week, my family and I would embark on a three-hour journey to participate in cultural practices leading up to special events. During these times, we had the joy of selecting vibrant fabrics and unique design styles, igniting my passion for Polynesian patterns and designs from a young age. My father played a pivotal role in shaping this vision. While we traveled far from home for these cultural gatherings, he would spend his weeks fishing, crabbing, and did not stop there. He would visit local markets to purchase clothing, which he then sold to grow two of his Business. His dedication to building relationships with customers by going door-to-door left a lasting impression on me. Witnessing his hustle and determination inspired me to create Mariah Island Boutique. These experiences instilled in me a deep appreciation for our culture and this passion has only grown over the years. I channel that same passion and inspiration into every piece we offer, celebrating our rich heritage while honoring the hard work and creativity that my father instilled in me.
